Council Charge
The Colorado State University Academic Assessment Council is an advisory group of academic leaders supporting the university’s mission and dedication to excellence in teaching through the ongoing assessment of student learning. The Council promotes the use of meaningful, collaborative, and sustainable assessment practices to help students learn and thrive at CSU.
Council members support the following goals for assessment and learning improvement at CSU:
- Provide leadership to create a vibrant culture of assessment and learning improvement at CSU.
- Develop and promote student-centered assessment practices.
- Promote ethical collection and use of assessment data.
- Build capacity of faculty and staff to do meaningful learning assessment and use information to improve curriculum and instruction.
- Provide leadership towards a scholarly approach to learning assessment and educational program evaluation.
